The sun had long since in the lap
Of Thetis taken out his nap,
And, like a lobster boil’d, the morn
From black to red began to turn.

Lovely pictures as always and now it is stuniingly sunny. How lucky are we all to live in such a beautiful place.
WW you are right there!
That;s breathtaking, as are all your pics - keep up the good work!
the thing is:
do you want a picture of the same b***dy mountain every morning?! hopefully I can work out some timetable that'll give me a couple of hours a day to get to one of the many 'beauty spots'. either that or I'll just have to give up my writing in favour of photography.
like I've said before, there just aren't enough hours in a day even though I'm starting them at six. still haven't got round to finishing the pottery workshop.
it's all your fault, guys, for being so encouraging!
Sorry, no rest allowed - I'm quite happy to have pics of the same mountain! I yearn for mountains, down here in the flatlands. Loved the heron too.
I just wanted to say that I absolutely love your blog !
I hope to escape too, but I don't have so far to go living in Scotland already.
Thank you xxx
Forgot to ask if there were any faeries nearby ?
A x
amazing pictures! this appears to be the year for atmospheric mists
Love the mists, just stunning how it hangs in a valley bottom
The heron is fantastic, often when I'm getting the cows in early morning I disturb about 3 herons, usually frightening the living daylights out of me
